Insanity: The Asylum - COMPLETE

After completing 30 days of Insanity: The Asylum, I can comfortably say that I am in the best shape of my life. I did every workout for the 30 days although I flipped a few of the days to fit my schedule, I drank Shakeology every day, and I also worked out during practice or went for an additional run. I am stronger, faster, and more agile than ever. However, this is not to say that there were no difficulties. When I first started out, it was difficult to fit it day 30into my day. During the class day, I only have 85 minutes free and the Asylum workouts range from 25 to 70 minutes. Sometimes I would be running from class, starting my homework during rest time (this never worked very well), or checking email during the stretch portions. Additionally, I was exhausted for the first week and a half. Think soreness all over and hunger all the time. This was due to having both practice and insanity workouts, but I am so strong and fit right now because of that struggle.

Here are my fitness results. I would share with you my weight results, but I was not attempting to lose weight throughout this process and subsequently lost 3 pounds which is nothing because that wasn't the goal. My abs are more defined, and my conditioning has improve all-around as seen below. This was only 30 days!

For anyone considering Insanity: The Asylum, it is certainly a step up from the original Insanity workouts in a way that you would not expect. The exercises are more difficult strength-wise, not cardio capacity wise, if that makes sense. They are also sports-specific, so Shaun T brings up a lot of references to football, soccer, swimming, sprinting, etc. It makes it a different atmosphere during the workouts and gives it a more intimate team environment.
